Onward Legal Innovation is launching a new Platform Engineering team as part of a technology and AI transformation at a leading U.S. law firm.

You will help build the internal developer platform, self-service tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud automation to support traditional apps and GenAI workloads. This largely remote role is open to candidates near Century City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, and other major cities, with collaboration across DevOps, SRE, security, and product teams to

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or software engineering.
• Strong production coding skills in Go and Python, plus Bash and/or PowerShell.
• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, plus Helm, Ansible, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Experience with GitOps, ideally Argo CD or Flux.
• Familiarity with observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
• Understanding of platform security, secrets management, policy-as-code, and SRE practices.
• Exposure to AI / GenAI infrastructure, including retrieval/RAG, model gateways, evaluation frameworks, or agent-based systems, is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build reusable self-service tooling, APIs, CLIs, libraries, and platform services.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.
• Build modular cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure using Terraform and Helm.
• Support workloads across AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and GitOps environments.
• Help build platform services for AI workloads including model inference, retrieval, orchestration, and evaluation.
• Implement monitoring, tracing, logging, and alerting across traditional and GenAI services.
• Participate in incident response and contribute to continuous reliability improvements.
• Automate security, operational, and developer workflows.
