Job summary

Simple Technology Solutions, LLC is seeking an AI Platform & DevSecOps Engineer to own environments, pipelines, and controls for federal projects. You will build and run standard DEV/TST environments in AWS using Terraform, and automate gates in the SDLC while maintaining security and cost controls.

Remote position with occasional travel to client sites and STS events; DC Metro region preferred. 8+ years of related experience with AWS, DevOps, and AI workloads is required, along with US

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a technical field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in DevOps/platform engineering with 4+ years on AWS and 2+ years with AI/ML workloads.
• Infra as code with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines across multi-environments.
• Experience supporting federal or regulated systems and compliance like FedRAMP/JMIS/CJIS.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain STS standard environments (DEV/TST; STG/PRD) on AWS with Terraform.
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines with automated tests, security scanning, and promotion approvals.
• Serve as release manager, coordinate releases, maintain release notes and rollback procedures.
• Secure AI workloads on AWS with guardrails, access controls, and cost controls.
• Generate security/compliance evidence for FedRAMP/NIST 800-53/CJIS and support ATO/continuous monitoring.
• Implement observability with tracing, metrics, cost monitoring, and alerting.
• Manage AI development tooling (Claude Code) and integration with Jira, GitHub, and pipelines.
• Provide AWS platform engineering on client engagements using landing zones and well-architected reviews.
