Job summary

Abnormal AI in the United States is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to own security operations for FedRAMP environments, focusing on CI/CD, IAM, patching, incident response, and security automation. You will directly own and improve technical workflows that keep Gov systems compliant and resilient at scale.

The ideal candidate combines cloud and infrastructure security expertise with operational discipline and is AI-enabled to maximize efficiency and reduce overhead.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of security engineering or infrastructure operations in federal or regulated cloud environments.
• Strong familiarity with NIST 800-53 controls and continuous monitoring.
• Proven delivery of AWS/SaaS security best practices.
• Hands-on CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and IaC security.
• Experience in patch management and hardened baselines.
• IAM design and enforcement for large-scale environments.
• Experience managing SIEM pipelines and leading incident response.
• Excellent documentation, collaboration, and incident/project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for secure deployments and workflows.
• Manage IaC PRs and Change Control Board reviews, ensuring secure releases.
• Perform security impact analyses for changes and provide recommendations.
• Run OS and infrastructure patch cycles; manage hardened images and patch workflows.
• Govern access management, including provisioning and periodic reviews.
• Manage logging and monitoring pipelines; tune SIEM ingestion and alerts.
• Triage and respond to security incidents from detection to recovery.
• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and audit-ready documentation.
• Collaborate with DevInfra, FedOps, Product, and Compliance to embed secure practices.
