Job summary

Simple Technology Solutions, LLC is seeking an AI Platform & DevSecOps Engineer to design, build, and secure scalable cloud workloads on AWS for federal clients. This remote role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance, plus a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of related experience.

You will lead CI/CD pipelines, IaC with Terraform, and guardrails for AI services like Bedrock, while ensuring FedRAMP/NIST/CJIS compliance and rapid, secure delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of DevOps/platform experience; AWS experience.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform and multi-environment CI/CD.
• Experience with FedRAMP/RMF/ATO or CJIS compliance.
• Strong CI/CD with GitHub Actions; container builds and secrets management.
• Python or TypeScript for automation.
• Familiarity with Claude Code and AI tooling.
• Security-minded with fast delivery and strong change control.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the AWS environment using Terraform across multiple environments.
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines with automated tests, security scans, and promotion gates.
• Serve as release manager coordinating releases and maintaining release notes.
• Secure AI workloads on AWS (Bedrock guardrails, IAM least-privilege, data protection).
• Generate security/compliance evidence for FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, CJIS.
• Implement observability, tracing, metrics, and cost monitoring for AI apps.
• Stand up AI development tooling and integrate Jira, GitHub, and pipelines.
• Provide AWS platform engineering on client engagements and well-architected reviews.
• Automate processes between requirements and testing; document platforms.
