Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced AI Platform Engineer to manage the enterprise AI platform configuration, licensing, capacity, and governance to enable secure and scalable AI deployments.

You will onboard AI developers and business users, manage agent lifecycle, and ensure governance in coordination with Legal, Privacy, HR, and Cybersecurity, while monitoring usage and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience administering enterprise technology platforms.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM platforms, automation tools, and related security and compliance practices.
• Experience configuring or administering at least one enterprise AI platform (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, Anthropic).
• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, C#, or Java.
• Understanding of agile project management, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage AI platform configuration, licensing, capacity, and feature enablement, including agent deployment policies.
• Support onboarding of AI developers and business users.
• Manage agent registration, ownership, and lifecycle, including discovery and ownership attestation.
• Maintain lifecycle management and deployment processes for AI agents.
• Maintain AI governance policies in coordination with Legal, Privacy, HR, and Cybersecurity.
• Work with security teams to address risks such as prompt injection and data leakage, and to meet compliance requirements.
• Apply least-privilege access principles for agents and AI services.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and availability; maintain runbooks and support documentation.
• Track AI usage, licensing, and costs; support cost attribution and demand forecasting.
• Define standards for AI application lifecycle management, including source control, deployment automation, and release processes.
