Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer to operationalize production AI-native workloads at scale on our AI-native Cloud. You will work across AI infrastructure, product engineering, and customer implementations to deploy, optimize, and scale AI systems with focus on latency, reliability, and cost efficiency.

You will partner with ANEs, startups, vendors, and internal teams to validate platform capabilities, surface architectural gaps, and accelerate maturity through reusable

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operationalizing production AI systems including inference workloads.
• Strong Kubernetes, GPU infrastructure knowledge, and low-latency concerns.
• Proven ability to benchmark, optimize AI infrastructure, and scale workloads.
• Ability to collaborate with CTOs, architects, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Operationalize production AI workloads on DigitalOcean’s AI-native cloud.
• Optimize distributed inference and runtime performance across clusters.
• Validate AI platform capabilities with real-world deployments.
• Build deployment assets, automation tooling, and reference patterns.
• Collaborate with vendors and ecosystem partners on enablement.
