Job summary

Benzinga is seeking a highly motivated AI / Machine Learning Engineer to bridge data science and backend engineering. You’ll architect intelligent systems in Go and Python that scale to millions of requests and move models from notebook to production.

The role requires 4+ years in AI/ML or data engineering, deep Python/Go proficiency, and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face. This is a fully remote position with a high-trust team that values initiative.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in AI/ML or data engineering with production ML deployments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong Python and Go programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face.
• Experience with transformer models, embeddings, or fine-tuning LLMs.
• Understanding of data pipelines, feature extraction, and model lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and deploy ML models across NLP, time-series forecasting, and event detection.
• Build LLM-driven systems (summarization, RAG, embedding search) for financial data.
• Develop model serving APIs and scalable inference layers in Go or Python.
• Implement monitoring, drift detection, and retraining pipelines.
• Collaborate with data engineers to build training datasets and feature stores.
