Job summary

CFD Research Corporation seeks a Senior AI/ML Engineer to design, build, and deploy advanced AI/ML solutions for mission systems in national security contexts. You will drive end‑to‑end data processing, model development, MLOps, and integration of scalable AI into production environments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML Engineering, Data Science, or related STEM field.
• Industry certifications in AI/ML, cloud, or solution architecture.
• 5+ years of experience developing machine learning models (NLP/LLM, CV, DL, generative AI, RL).
• 5+ years experience developing AI/ML capabilities to operate in a microservice stack.
• Experience with data processing frameworks and scientific computing libraries (NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, source control (GitLab) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• U.S. Citizenship is REQUIRED.
• ACTIVE TS/SCI clearance IS REQUIRED, and willingness to take a polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in a related STEM field

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AI/ML models including NLP, LLM pipelines, DL, and CV models.
• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines for model training and evaluation.
• Develop end-to-end production systems with microservices and cloud-native or edge AI services.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into operational environments with security and reliability.
• Conduct model optimization, tuning, versioning, and AB testing for mission impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify mission needs and define approaches.
• Prepare technical documentation and support accreditation/security processes in classified environments.
