Job summary

Prolific is seeking an AI & Machine Learning Engineer to train and evaluate the next generation of LLMs from our Expert Network. You will test architectures, audit code, and refine RLHF frameworks while ensuring high-quality human feedback aligns models with intent and safety.

Remote work is supported with competitive pay rates, and tasks can vary in duration. A strong background in ML, DL, and hands-on experience with transformers is required.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in CS/AI/ML with focus on machine learning.
• Experience building, deploying, or fine-tuning ML models in production.
• Deep learning mastery of transformers, CNNs, RNNs and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with RLHF or RAG workflows.
• Ability to audit model logic and identify data issues.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate LLM architecture logic and verify technical accuracy.
• Audit ML code and notebooks for efficiency and correctness.
• Refine RLHF frameworks with high-quality human feedback.
• Analyze model reasoning and identify failures in CoT prompts.
• Benchmark model outputs using technical taxonomies and metrics.
