Job summary

Outlier is offering a freelance opportunity to review AI-generated media from home with flexible hours. You will hold live conversations with AI voice models, compare AI-generated images and videos, and explain what looks or sounds off, all remotely and on your own schedule.

Ideal candidates are English-first, attentive to detail, and capable of writing concise, evidence-based explanations. This is a 1099 contract role accepting applicants from multiple countries including the United States and

Qualifications

• Fluent English speaker with clear written communication.
• Strong attention to detail and patience to replay or zoom in when something seems off.
• Nice to have: pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree or above.
• Comfortable thinking on your feet and discussing realistic situations conversationally.
• Experience writing short, evidence-based explanations or reviews.
• Capable of making clear decisions when both options have flaws.

Responsibilities

• Holding a live, scenario-based conversation in English with AI voice models, then ranking how natural, useful, and clear each one sounded.
• Comparing pairs of AI-generated images and videos and judging which follows the prompt better.
• Inspecting outputs closely—zooming in and replaying—to spot problems like distorted anatomy, flickering or unnatural motion, text errors, and audio-not-matching-video.
• Rating each output across dimensions like adherence, quality, and realism, then writing a specific English explanation pointing to what you saw or heard.
• Contributing to common tasks such as image and video evaluations, video caption labeling, and audio/voice evaluations.
