Job summary

Andromeda Cluster is seeking a Customer Reliability Engineer to support AI compute workloads on GPU clusters across providers. You will triage issues, debug at the Linux and Kubernetes layers, and drive resolution with external providers.

The role requires strong scripting, Linux mastery, and the ability to communicate clearly with customers. You’ll join a 24/7 on-call capable team, build monitoring tools, and contribute to runbooks and documentation as you ensure reliable service for customers

Qualifications

• Real Linux troubleshooting ability from the command line.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes: pods, nodes, deployments, services.
• Can write a script in Python or Bash to automate something repetitive.
• Strong writing. You can explain a technical problem to a frustrated customer clearly.
• Good judgment under pressure. You know what to check first, when to elevate.
• Willing to join a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Triage and fix customer issues end-to-end, reproduce, diagnose, fix, and close the loop.
• Debug at the Linux layer: processes, networking, storage, kernel logs, resource contention, systemd, journald.
• Investigate Kubernetes problems: pods, nodes, scheduling, limits; resolve root causes.
• Coordinate with providers to determine fault domain and push for fixes.
• Build tooling: scripts for checks, monitoring dashboards, and runbooks.
