Job summary

Bread Financial is seeking a Lead - AI Governance Risk Specialist to identify, assess, and mitigate risks in AI deployments, ensuring regulatory, ethical, and governance standards are met. You will partner with legal, privacy, data governance, and risk teams to oversee AI use cases, third-party solutions, testing, monitoring, and control effectiveness.

You will develop metrics and reports for executives, support incident response, and drive governance programs across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in Risk Management, Information Security, Data Governance, Technology Risk, AI Governance, Model Risk, or related governance, risk, and compliance functions.
• Working knowledge of AI, machine learning, Generative AI, LLMs, AI deployment practices, and AI-enabled technology risk.
• Bachelor's Degree in data management, information security, or risk management; or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct AI risk assessments and governance reviews of AI systems, tools, applications and AI-enabled third-party solutions.
• Evaluate governance, data, technology, security, responsible AI, model, deployment, and monitoring needs.
• Support risk mitigation to address issues and align with AI governance policies.
• Evaluate testing, monitoring, control effectiveness, and assurance needs; assess accuracy, explainability, and drift.
• Develop AI governance policies, standards, procedures, risk-based approval processes, and documentation.
• Develop AI governance metrics and reporting materials for executive discussions; translate AI risks for business audiences.
• Coordinate incident response, remediation, and audit readiness for AI governance risks.
