Job summary

Envato is seeking an experienced backend engineer to join the Content Management team, owning features from conversation to production and delivering reliable, well-tested software. You’ll work with AI-assisted tooling while collaborating with senior engineers to improve complex systems that power a global marketplace.

You’ll contribute to a modern stack (Ruby on Rails and cloud native services) and participate in pairing, code reviews, and continual craft improvements in a remote, AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Experience building software for large web platforms.
• Strong backend design and testing practices.
• Interest in applying AI to real-world problems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of features from initial conversations through production.
• Write reliable, well-tested code and help improve the platform for long-term sustainment.
• Collaborate with Lead and Senior Engineers; pair programming and problem solving are common.
• Experiment with AI-first tooling and contribute ideas that move the team forward.
