Job summary

True Talent Solutions Partners seeks an experienced engineering leader to guide an AI-enabled fintech software team focused on mortgage lending. The role blends hands-on coding with strategic leadership to ensure delivery quality and team health.

You will mentor engineers, shape plans, manage delivery risks, and collaborate with product and tech leads. Expect to stay connected with coding while driving architecture decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering or engineering management experience
• Experience managing engineers directly, including hiring and performance management
• Hands-on TypeScript experience and recent experience shipping production software
• Backend engineering experience with Node.js, React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker
• Experience applying AI tools in engineering workflows and AI product development practices

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop engineers through regular one-on-ones, continuous feedback, performance reviews, hiring, and career development
• Own planning, retrospectives, delivery health, and early communication of execution risks
• Write and ship code for approximately 10 to 20 percent of your time
• Partner with Product Managers and Technical Leads on priorities, architecture decisions, and cross-functional alignment
• Support onboarding and maintain clear documentation and ownership boundaries
