Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer with a Finance focus to build AI-powered finance tooling. You will collaborate with FP&A and project finance teams to deliver data-driven applications using Databricks, Python, and LLMs.

This remote US role requires 2+ years in Databricks, LLM engineering, and production-grade software delivery, plus knowledge of NetSuite, Certinia, and Workday Adaptive Planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, CS, IS, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years with Databricks and building data-driven solutions.
• 2+ years of LLM application engineering experience, including prompt/ context engineering.
• 2+ years of Python and full-stack development to deliver production apps.
• 2+ years working with Finance teams; FP&A, close, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis.
• Experience with finance systems: NetSuite, Certinia, Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-assisted variance commentary and close-checklist solutions.
• Develop experiences using Databricks Genie and governed finance data for NL queries.
• Partner with FP&A and Project Financial Analysts to deliver tools improving efficiency.
• Measure and report solution adoption, usage, and productivity gains.
• Create assistive reconciliation capabilities while preserving human controls.
• Design and deliver AI-enabled apps using Databricks, Python, and LLMs.
• Ensure governance by separating AI recommendations from financial controls.
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders to understand close cycles and reporting needs.
