Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (Finance Focused) to build AI-powered tools that transform how Finance teams operate. You will work with finance stakeholders to accelerate close activities and improve financial analysis while ensuring governance and compliance.

You will combine finance expertise with software engineering in a data-driven environment, delivering production-ready applications and scalable AI solutions for the FP&A domain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, CS, IS, or Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and building data-driven solutions.
• 2+ years of LLM application engineering experience, including prompt and context design and evaluation.
• 2+ years of Python development and full-stack capabilities.
• 2+ years of experience with FP&A processes, monthly close, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Experience with finance systems and governed data (NetSuite, Certinia, Workday).
• Familiarity with MS 365, Copilot, Databricks Genie/Vector tools; CRO/pharma exposure preferred.
• Proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-assisted variance commentary and close-checklist tools for finance data.
• Develop experiences using Databricks Genie and governed data for natural language exploration.
• Collaborate with FP&A and Project Financial Analysts to deliver efficiency tools.
• Measure adoption and productivity gains to demonstrate business impact.
• Create reconciliation capabilities while preserving human ownership of controls.
• Design AI-enabled applications using Databricks, Python, and modern LLM tech.
• Ensure governance by separating AI-generated outputs from financial controls.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand close cycles, planning, and reporting needs.
