Job summary

Outlier is seeking detail-oriented English speakers to review AI-generated media remotely on a flexible schedule. You will roleplay live conversations with AI voice models, score exchanges, and explain in writing what looked or sounded wrong, helping improve AI systems in real-world tasks.

Responsibilities include comparing AI-generated images and videos, identifying issues, and writing concise explanations in English. This is a 1099 freelance opportunity with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Fluent English speaker with strong, clear written communication.
• Strong attention to detail, with patience to replay/zoom in when something seems off.
• Nice to have: Pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree or above.
• Comfortable thinking on your feet and talking through realistic situations in a natural, conversational way.
• Experience writing short, evidence-based explanations or reviews.
• Able to make clear decisions when both options have flaws.
• Eligible countries: Australia, Canada, Ireland, United Kingdom, United States.

Responsibilities

• Holding a live, scenario-based conversation in English with AI voice models, then ranking how natural, useful, and clear each one sounded.
• Comparing pairs of AI-generated images and videos and judging which follows the prompt more closely.
• Inspecting outputs closely—zooming in and replaying—to spot problems like distorted anatomy, flickering, or misaligned audio.
• Rating each output across dimensions like adherence, quality, and realism, then writing a specific English explanation of what was observed.
