Job summary

Ladders is seeking an AI Ethics & Human Impact Lead to shape the ethical use of AI in the workplace, focusing on workforce-adjacent tools and emerging use cases. You will challenge proposed AI initiatives, assess risks, and translate ethical principles into practical guidance, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to stay responsible and transparent.

The role is remote with a compensation range of $150,500 to $215,000 annually, reflecting senior responsibility and global regulatory

Qualifications

Advanced understanding of AI/ML technologies and their application in optimizing outcomes.
An advanced degree or equivalent experience in a field requiring ethical reasoning
Deep practical literacy in AI and machine learning systems to identify risks
Expertise in AI ethics, responsible AI, or technology policy
Ability to exercise independent judgment and influence at the executive level
Exceptional skill in translating abstract ethical concepts into actionable language

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive AI ethics framework for workforce-adjacent AI
Serve as an independent ethics authority to challenge AI initiatives that pose risks
Design and lead human impact assessments for AI tools
Articulate and maintain the ethical position on AI's purpose in the workplace
Monitor global regulatory changes to support proactive compliance
