Job summary

The Nuclear Company is seeking an AI Software Engineering Intern for Fall 2026 in Washington, DC. You will work on NOS alongside engineers and nuclear experts, delivering AI-powered features and production-ready code within an on-site six-month term.

Responsibilities include building modules for regulatory automation, data integrations, and testing tooling. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a BS program and can work on-site full-time in DC with housing/relocation included.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a technical BS program and available for six months.
• Strong fundamentals in at least one modern language (Python/TS/Java/Go/Rust/C++).
• Track record of shipping working software.

Responsibilities

• Build NOS features across regulatory automation, cost/schedule, and data platforms.
• Develop AI-powered features, including retrieval-augmented generation and tool-calling.
• Integrate data with Palantir Foundry and AWS GovCloud.
• Turn prototypes into production features and build deployment tooling.
• Contribute to automated testing and compliance infrastructure.
