Job summary

EM Key Solutions is seeking an AI Engineer to support the VA OIT in a temporary assignment. You will design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions, including Generative AI, to enhance enterprise software engineering, testing, DevSecOps, and IT operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable PoCs and production-ready AI capabilities that align with VA governance and Trustworthy AI principles. Remote in the USA with minimal travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in overall software engineering experience.
• 2+ years hands-on AI/ML/Generative AI development.
• Strong programming with Python.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI or similar LLM platforms.
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or equivalent.
• Experience building RAG apps and AI Agents.
• Experience REST APIs using FastAPI or similar.
• Familiar with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, and cloud-native dev.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered applications using LLMs, Generative AI, and ML.
• Build AI Copilots, AI Agents, and RAG solutions to improve workflows.
• Develop intelligent automation for test case generation, analytics, and knowledge management.
• Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise apps, APIs, Azure cloud services, and DevSecOps pipelines.
• Evaluate new AI tech and rapidly develop PoCs.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, testers, and stakeholders to deliver AI solutions.
• Ensure AI solutions meet VA cybersecurity, privacy, accessibility, and Trustworthy AI requirements.
