Job summary

EM Key Solutions (EMKS) is seeking an AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI, ML, and Generative AI solutions for VA OIT. You will build AI copilots, agents, and RAG apps, and integrate AI into enterprise apps and DevSecOps pipelines. Strong Python and Azure/OpenAI experience are required.

Remote work from the USA with potential minimal ad hoc travel, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and adherence to VA governance and Trustworthy AI principles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in overall software engineering.
• 2+ years of hands-on AI/ML/Generative AI development.
• Strong programming experience with Python.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs or equivalents.
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar frameworks.
• Experience building RAG apps and AI Agents.
• Experience developing REST APIs with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, and cloud-native development.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered applications using LLMs, Generative AI, and ML.
• Build AI Copilots, AI Agents, and RAG solutions for software engineering and testing.
• Develop intelligent automation for test generation, defect analysis, knowledge management, and analytics.
• Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise apps, APIs, Azure services, and DevSecOps pipelines.
• Evaluate emerging AI tech and rapidly develop PoCs.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, testers, and stakeholders on AI solutions.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with VA cybersecurity, privacy, accessibility, and Trustworthy AI requirements.
