Job summary

Ethos is seeking experienced AI engineers to help train a language model on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. You will create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated outputs across workflows such as design docs, data pipelines, API guides, and system diagrams.

This fully remote, flexible role offers $80/hour for 5-20 hours per week, with ASAP start; ideal for engineers who excel at precise written communication and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as software engineer, data engineer, or AI/ML practitioner writing technical design docs, data pipeline documentation, or API specifications.
• Experience evaluating model outputs or system readiness and documenting tradeoffs for engineering or cross-functional stakeholders.
• Exceptional written communication and attention to detail in documents, spreadsheets, and slide craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows: design docs, data pipelines, API specs, and system diagrams.
• Document technical tradeoffs for stakeholders and support onboarding guides and architecture diagrams.
