Job summary

AxisCare is hiring a full-time, fully remote Senior Software Engineer to help build, ship, and maintain the market-leading SaaS platform powering the home care industry, and to help reimagine how software gets made in the age of AI. We seek engineers who push AI tools to their breaking point, then push again as models improve, turning ideas into working software in hours.

You will own production quality, mentor peers, and collaborate with product leaders.

Qualifications

5+ years as a professional software engineer on full-stack cloud-native web apps.
Experience with React in TypeScript.
Ability to design and build RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
Experience with PHP and ORM usage (MySQL, etc.).
Comfort working remotely across US time zones from Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zones.

Responsibilities

Prototype aggressively with product leaders and iterate quickly using AI, delivering working software to stakeholders early.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in code design, systems thinking, and AI agent usage.
Develop backend logic, extend APIs, integrate with third-party services, build frontend UI, and maintain code quality with AI as a multiplier.
Improve system performance, resilience, and upgrade tech stack while pursuing ambitious goals.
Own production deployments, observability, and reliability as core features of the product.
