Smart Working is seeking a DevOps/Platform Engineer for its remote-first AI-native cybersecurity platform. You will own and scale cloud infrastructure, manage deployment pipelines, and ensure platform reliability with observability and security practices.

The role emphasizes autonomous ownership and collaboration across Backend, DevOps, and AI teams. Ideal candidates have hands-on cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), IaC with Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD expertise, plus a proactive, growth-oriented

Competenze

• Deep hands-on experience managing production cloud infrastructure across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or equivalent tools.
• Hands-on experience with containerised environments (Docker).
• Proven ownership of CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Experience implementing observability, incident response and security practices.
• Experience with AI agents and frontier AI models in engineering workflows.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and navigate codebases autonomously.
• Ability to own engineering projects end-to-end with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer focus and ownership of solutions until resolved.
• Growth mindset and willingness to rethink existing code.
• Ability to explain technical decisions clearly.
• Ability to work remotely during UK working hours.

• Run, maintain and scale production cloud infrastructure for a cybersecurity platform.
• Own build, deployment and release pipelines for Python, C++ and TypeScript apps.
• Build and manage production infrastructure for AI agents with observability and cost controls.
• Own observability and incident response to maintain platform reliability.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks using AI agents.
• Take end-to-end ownership of infra and platform engineering projects from requirements to delivery.
