Job summary

Smart Working Solutions is seeking a DevOps / Platform Engineer to own and scale the cloud infrastructure behind an AI-native cybersecurity platform. You will work with an engineering team to ensure reliability, observability, and cost controls while delivering high-impact solutions across Python, C++, and TypeScript stacks.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with production cloud infra (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• IaC experience using Terraform or equivalent.
• Hands-on with Docker and containerised environments.
• CI/CD ownership, build, deploy, release processes.
• Observability, incident response, and security practices.
• Experience using AI agents and frontier AI models in engineering workflows.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end with strong communication.
• Comfort working remotely during UK hours.

Responsibilities

• Run, maintain and scale production cloud infrastructure supporting a platform that processes terabytes of data daily.
• Own build, deployment and release pipelines for Python, C++ and TypeScript applications.
• Build and manage production infrastructure for AI agents, incorporating observability, guardrails and cost controls.
• Take ownership of observability and incident response to maintain platform reliability.
• Automate repetitive operational work using AI agents.
• Take end-to-end ownership of infrastructure and platform engineering projects, from identifying requirements through to delivery.
• Manage multiple priorities, including two major projects alongside smaller AI-driven tasks, while maintaining effective communication and collaboration.
