Job summary
Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking an AI Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize cloud-native data solutions for AI-driven applications. You will collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, architects, and stakeholders across AWS services, delivering scalable pipelines and production-grade Python code.
Required hands-on Python, strong data engineering background, and expertise with AWS Glue/DMS, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake, and Lambda.
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on Python development experience delivering production-quality code.
- Proven data engineering experience building and supporting scalable data pipelines.
- Hands-on with AWS services and cloud-native data architectures.
- Experience with Glue, DMS, Kafka, Airflow, or Snowflake.
- Familiar with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Kiro).
- Ability to translate business needs into technical specs and criteria.
- Experience reviewing, testing, debugging, and optimizing AI-generated code.
- Experience building AWS Lambda functions in Python and integrating with AWS services.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and integrations.
- Build production-grade Python apps and Lambda functions.
- Develop data platforms using AWS Glue, DMS, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake.
- Translate requirements into engineering designs and acceptance criteria.
- Review and optimize AI-generated code across the SDLC.
