Job summary

Intertwine Associates LLC is seeking an AI / Data Engineer to design, build, and operate data platforms, ML models, and AI applications for federal agencies and other clients. You will deploy production-grade pipelines, integrate secure APIs, and ensure reliability in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) while adhering to governance and security standards.

The role requires collaboration with stakeholders, strong communication, U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years building data pipelines, ML models, or AI apps in production.
• Proficiency in Python and data libraries (pandas, NumPy) and strong SQL.
• Hands-on with at least one major cloud platform (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud).
• Experience with ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Experience with data validation, testing, and QA.
• Experience building APIs/services exposing data or models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain technical work to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency may be required per contract.
• Ability to obtain a federal Public Trust or security clearance where required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data platforms and AI applications from pipeline to production.
• Create production-grade data pipelines with schema enforcement and data quality checks.
• Develop, evaluate, and deploy ML/AI solutions including LLM-based apps.
• Package models/data as secure APIs and services for other systems.
• Implement logging, monitoring, testing, and performance tuning for reliability.
• Work in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) with security, privacy, and governance.
