Job summary

Intertwine Associates LLC is seeking a mid-level AI/Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize Azure-based data pipelines for federal or enterprise clients. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, architects, and governance teams in a remote, client-facing role.

Build production-grade ETL workflows in Python, validate data, and implement orchestration with Azure Data Factory or Fabric/Foundry. Strong SQL, Pandas, and ML libraries required; U.S.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with data pipelines, ML readiness, or advanced analytics.
• Proficiency in Python and Pandas.
• Strong SQL and relational data sources experience.
• Hands-on with Azure cloud environments.
• ETL development using Python and Microsoft tech.
• Data validation and schema enforcement experience.
• Familiarity with NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop production-grade ETL workflows using Python and Microsoft frameworks.
• Ingest, transform, and validate structured and unstructured data.
• Implement schema enforcement, data validation, and quality checks.
• Support Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL, and Azure data services.
• Design workflow orchestration with Azure Data Factory or Fabric/Foundry.
• Build Python-based data services using ML libraries.
• Develop API endpoints and microservices for analytics/ML platforms.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with data scientists and governance teams.
• Apply data governance best practices for compliance and auditability.
