Weekday 1 is seeking accomplished Chemistry Research Collaborators to help advance AI models for scientific reasoning in chemistry. This remote, part-time role focuses on evaluating and designing chemistry problems for training advanced AI systems.

Candidates should have strong publication records, PhD/postdoc training, and experience in organic synthesis, catalysis, computational chemistry, or related fields. Engagement is up to 20 hours/week with ongoing, project-based work.

Qualifications

• PhD or postdoctoral training in Chemistry or related STEM discipline.
• Strong publication record in leading chemistry journals.
• Experience evaluating scientific research and training AI models.

Responsibilities

• Review chemistry research papers for accuracy, originality and significance.
• Design and review chemistry problems for AI training and evaluation.
• Assess AI-generated solutions in organic synthesis, reaction mechanisms, computational chemistry and literature analysis.
• Identify errors and gaps; provide detailed feedback for model improvement.
• Collaborate with researchers and project teams to ensure quality across tasks.
