Weekday 1 is partnering with a leading AI research lab to develop and evaluate AI models that simulate real-world chemistry workflows across organic, inorganic, physical, analytical chemistry, and biochemistry.

This remote, part-time role (20 hours/week) offers immediate start, with potential to extend to 40 hours/week, and compensation of $65–$85 USD per hour as an independent contractor.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or closely related discipline from a top university.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and analytical problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate complex problems in chemistry across diverse subfields.
• Assess AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, chemical reasoning, and relevance.
• Provide detailed written feedback on problem sets, mechanisms, and solutions.
• Work asynchronously with AI researchers and engineers to refine and improve model performance.
• Ensure academic rigor and scientific precision in all chemistry-related content used to train or evaluate AI systems.
