Weekday 1 is partnering with a leading AI research lab to develop and evaluate AI models that simulate real-world chemistry workflows across organic, inorganic, physical, analytical chemistry, and biochemistry.

This remote, part-time role (20 hours/week) offers immediate start, with potential to extend to 40 hours/week, and compensation of $65–$85 USD per hour as an independent contractor.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Chemistry or closely related discipline from a top university.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and analytical problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

  • Design and evaluate complex problems in chemistry across diverse subfields.
  • Assess AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, chemical reasoning, and relevance.
  • Provide detailed written feedback on problem sets, mechanisms, and solutions.

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

We are collaborating with a leading AI research lab to enhance advanced AI systems by integrating deep expertise from the field of chemistry. This role centers on developing and evaluating AI models that can replicate real-world workflows across multiple chemistry subdomains, including organic, inorganic, physical, analytical chemistry, and biochemistry.

Requirements

Ideal Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and analytical problem‑solving ability
  • Prior teaching, research, or publication experience is an advantage
