Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Lead AI Application Security Champion to partner with development teams across the software lifecycle to identify and mitigate security risks in AI-enabled applications. You will lead threat modeling, define security requirements, guide remediation, and develop reusable security patterns while mentoring engineers and coordinating with Cybersecurity partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in IT or related field.
12+ years of experience in IT or business technology.
8+ years IT and/or cybersecurity experience.
8+ years in software development, security, or related field.
Experience across multiple phases of the SDLC.
Familiarity with AI-enabled architectures and security risks.
Ability to work with diverse teams and communicate security requirements.

Responsibilities

Partner with development teams to identify and address security risks across the SDLC.
Facilitate threat modeling and abuse-case analysis for AI-enabled apps.
Provide risk-based guidance for prioritizing remediation efforts.
Develop and maintain application and AI security standards and patterns.
Connect teams with Cybersecurity resources and specialists.
Lead security reviews and secure design activities.
Mentor engineers in secure development practices.
Track, report, and communicate progress on security initiatives.
