Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Animal Science, Pre-Vet, Biology, or related STEM field.
• Strong background working with large animals or livestock (4-H/FFA, farm upbringing or related clinics).
• Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable cold-calling and talking with farmers and veterinarians.
• Basic familiarity with laboratory environments; pipetting and PCR exposure advantageous with training.
• Ability to work independently in the field and manage dual sales/scientific tasks.
• Reliable transportation to visit farms and regional research hubs.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage local large animal farmers to schedule market research interviews.
• Build a database of prospective agricultural clients and veterinary clinics.
• Coordinate structured customer discovery interviews to understand pain points and purchasing behavior.
• Organize logistics for collecting field samples for diagnostic validation.
• Perform preliminary molecular testing (PCR) on samples following biosafety protocols.
• Document interview insights and lab results for leadership review.
