• Currently a student with one year left before graduation.

• Summer crop scouting or ag retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills.

Job description

At AGRILAND FS, our internship program develops future leaders who possess critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills-individuals who want to grow a career with the best in the industry! We are looking for a student with one year left before graduation who has worked as a crop scout or in an ag retail environment for a summer learning about our industry and developing a passion for farm gate agronomy.

Responsibilities:

• Contact customers and prospects to schedule visits that gather information about a customer's operation
• Document customer information obtained and shared with crop specialist
• Scout crops using precision tools to gather information and report findings
• Utilize integrated pest management strategies to assist in agronomy recommendations
• Be assigned to an agronomy product to research, discuss with customers and present results during conclusion meeting.

Requirements:

• Last summer before graduation with a bachelor's degree
• Minimum of one summer crop scouting or experience in Ag Retail
• Strong basic understanding of agronomy knowledge
• Demonstrate strong communication, leadership and organization skills
• Work examples of strong work ethic and self-starting skills
• Activities that demonstrate a passion for agronomy
