Job summary

AGRILAND FS in Winterset, IA invites motivated agricultural students to join a paid summer internship. You will gain on-the-job experience with training, work with producers, and present your project to management.

You should be an Agriculture major with Animal Science emphasis, have at least one internship in livestock production or animal nutrition, and be graduating soon. Strong communication, driving record and ability to work with minimal supervision are required.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 internship in production livestock or animal nutrition.
• Have one summer left before graduating.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute sales-related projects by contacting customers and prospects.
• Gather market data from customers and influence customers to place trial usage of targeted products or services.
• Assist with feed sampling, operations and inventory.
• Responsible for scheduling appointments with producers, mentors and manager.
• Attend training and marketing meetings.
• Present project to management at the end of the summer.
