Placements24 seeks an Agricultural Data Analyst to join a forward-thinking team in Paarl with a flexible remote option. You will collect, clean, and analyze farm data to drive decisions on crop management, resource allocation, and yield optimization.

You will build models, create dashboards in Tableau or Power BI, and translate complex findings for stakeholders. Strong background in data science and agriculture, plus excellent communication, are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Agricultural Science with a focus on data analysis, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience in data analysis with strong understanding of statistical methods and modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools such as Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, or SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Familiarity with agricultural concepts, farming practices, and agricultural data sources is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and clean large datasets from sensors, weather stations, and farm management software.
• Develop and implement statistical models and algorithms to analyze crop performance and soil health.
