Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking an Agentic AI Applied Scientist to embed with startups and enterprise partners, designing production-grade multi-agent workflows and tool-augmented LLM architectures.

You will prototype frameworks using LangGraph and AutoGen, harden the systems for enterprise use, ensure memory and cost efficiency, and collaborate with Product Engineering to scale AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on experience in Applied AI, ML, or Data Science.
• Expertise in multi-agent orchestration, tool-use and persistent memory.
• Production-grade Python and systems engineering skills.
• Strong customer-facing communication and collaboration.
• Bold, ownership-driven mindset aligned with DigitalOcean’s Shark culture.

Responsibilities

• Architect production-ready agentic frameworks and multi-agent workflows.
• Embed with customers to translate requirements into deterministic AI pipelines.
• Prototype agentic frameworks with LangGraph, AutoGen, or custom graphs.
• Develop reusable evals and safety guardrails for accuracy and security.
• Partner with AI/ML Product teams to iterate on platform improvements.
• Travel up to 30% for customer engagements.
