Job summary

Conifer Realty is seeking a Development Coordinator to support profitable LIHTC affordable housing projects across several states, primarily from inception to occupancy. The role requires coordination with development, construction, legal, and accounting teams and may involve limited travel for local approvals.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in planning, real estate development, or finance, with strong writing and budgeting skills. A Bachelor's in business or planning is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in planning, real estate development, or financial industry preferred.
• Affordable housing experience strongly preferred.
• Project management experience and ability to drive projects to completion.
• Strong writing and presentation skills for community and leadership.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Dealpath and Yardi Voyager experience preferred.
• Strong math/finance aptitude; underwriting or budgeting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development activities across multiple-state projects from due diligence to OCC.
• Submit funding applications including LIHTC, FHLB, and other funding sources.
• Conduct project financial feasibility analysis and maintain project budgets.
• Assist in obtaining local approvals and coordinate multi-state travel as needed.
• Direct third-party design professionals to meet building specifications.
• Coordinate market studies, appraisals, and other required studies.
• Support closings for syndication, equity, and construction/perm loans.
• Communicate with Construction, Property Management, Legal, Accounting, and Insurance teams.
• Represent owner at construction meetings and manage draws.
• Prepare soft/hard cost draws and funder submissions.
• Review construction change orders and regulatory requirements for CO issuance.
