Ladders is seeking an Aerodynamics Engineer to join a leader in Aerospace & Defense delivering spacecraft CFD analyses and mission-critical aerodynamics work. You will apply advanced CFD methods to evaluate performance across entry, abort, and flight regimes, informing design decisions and interpreting test data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; master's degree or higher preferred.
• 15+ years of related experience.
• Expertise in aerodynamics across subsonic to hypersonic regimes.
• Experience with NASA Aerodynamics CFD solvers (CART3D, FUN3D, OVERFLOW).
• Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of Earth entry and abort aerodynamics to spacecraft.
• Utilize aerodynamic CFD solvers for spacecraft entry analyses.
• Create CFD grids using grid generation software.
• Generate CFD visualizations with tools like Tecplot or Paraview.
• Analyze ground test and flight data from aerodynamic perspectives.
• Perform detailed aerodynamic analyses across various flight regimes.
• Complete additional duties as required.
