Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; contractor experience accepted.
• 4+ years of hands-on AEM development and implementation experience.
• 1-2 years working with AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).
• Strong proficiency in Java, HTL, OSGi, Sling Models, CRX/DE, and frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React).
• Experience designing and building reusable AEM components, templates, and workflows.
• Working knowledge of Cloud Manager for CI/CD, Git, and REST API integrations with third-party systems.
• Solid understanding of performance optimization, security practices, and DevOps principles.
• Experience in Agile environments with Scrum.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to transfer knowledge to client teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable AEM solutions that align with the digital strategy and student experience goals.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications using AEM Sites, Assets, and Forms.
• Develop reusable components, templates, workflows, and integrations using HTL, Java, OSGi, Sling Models, and React.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines through Cloud Manager, perform code reviews, testing, and deployments in immutable environments.
• Optimize platform performance, including Dispatcher, caching, CDN, and Core Web Vitals during high-traffic periods.
• Ensure solutions meet accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA / Section 508) and security requirements.
• Support platform upgrades, migrations, Adobe releases, and production support.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams with University IT, content authors, and stakeholders.
• Create technical documentation and transfer knowledge to internal teams at milestones.
• Mentor junior developers when required.
