EgelloC is seeking a narrative architect for a remote, seasonal editor role through December. You will review 25+ essays daily, craft compelling feedback, and create Loom videos to explain edits. This is fast-paced and high-impact work guiding students through the college admissions storytelling.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of admissions editing, strong storytelling, and comfort on camera, with a 12:00-8:00 pm PST schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (preferred English, Writing, Communications, Education, Humanities).
• 2+ years of admissions editing experience with UC PIQ vs Common App essays knowledge.
• Strong storytelling, show-don’t-tell, and voice.
• Comfortable recording 20+ short videos daily; energy on camera.
• Ability to edit a 650-word essay in 20 minutes; handles high-volume queues.
• Fluent in Google Docs (Suggesting Mode), Zoom, and Loom.

Responsibilities

• Narrative strategy: identify gaps, clichés, and reflections; push deeper.
• Record ~2-minute Loom feedback videos for every edited essay.
• Manage a queue of 27–32 essays per day during peak season; make quick, high-quality judgments on readiness.
• Facilitate weekly Zoom workshops and 1:1 sessions during 6-Week Intensives; guide brainstorming and drafting.
