Point Loma Nazarene University is seeking adjunct instructors for the Accelerated Undergraduate program in Theology and Biblical Studies. The pool will be used for Spring and Summer 2027, with part-time teaching responsibilities and emphasis on scholarly and spiritual mentorship.

Qualifications

• Education: Ph.D./Terminal degree in Theology/Biblical Studies or a related field.
• Experience: Evidence of a commitment to excellence in undergraduate/graduate teaching; effectiveness with diverse students preferred.
• Personal: Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement; adhere to PLNU Community Life Covenant.

Responsibilities

• Teach a wide variety of courses in Christian Studies and Biblical Studies beginning January.
• Advise students academically, spiritually, and socially.
• Engage in personal and student-faculty scholarship where possible.
• Participate in departmental activities and governance.
• Contribute to preparing students for post-graduate careers and calling.
