Job summary

Point Loma Nazarene University is seeking adjunct instructors to teach online psychology courses within the Applied Psychology (Online B.A.) program. This part-time adjunct pool supports Fall 2026, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027 with opportunities that vary by semester.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D., Ed.D., or MA in psychology, have experience in adult education and online course design, and demonstrate a strong commitment to Christian liberal arts education and diversity within the university

Qualifications

Education: Ph.D., Ed.D., (preferred), MA in psychology or similar degree.
Experience: instructional design, adult teaching, and potential for outstanding course design.
Preferred topics: Human Growth & Flourishing, Mental Health & Society, and/or Data Analysis & Visualization.

Responsibilities

Must have knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques appropriate to teaching adult students.
Expected to have knowledge of ways to instruct, manage, motivate and evaluate students.
Design online and/or face-to-face courses.
Invest in students.
Work strategically with diverse colleagues, students, parents and community members.
