Job summary

The Raymond A. Mason School of Business at William & Mary is building a pool of Adjunct Faculty (Section Lead) to oversee online Finance course sections.

You will guide as a Section Lead, posting announcements, holding virtual office hours, and grading student work in asynchronous 7.5-week courses. Qualified candidates hold a finance-related master’s (or MBA with finance), with adult-education experience and strong online communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field or MBA with finance focus.
• Proven experience teaching adults in academic or corporate settings.
• Ability to communicate clearly in digital environments and collaborate online.
• Commitment to inclusive, supportive learning for diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Post course announcements weekly and engage in discussion boards.
• Complete instructor orientation and ongoing technology training.
• Review syllabi, content, and assignments before term start.
• Adhere to course design, grading guidelines, and due dates.
• Provide timely, personalized feedback on graded work.
• Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours and monitor progress.
• Meet weekly with the Faculty Lead and submit final grades per policies.
