Job summary

The University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) seeks Adjunct Faculty members who are subject matter experts in English to serve as Instructors of Record and/or develop courses for undergraduate and graduate programs.

Instruction may be delivered online, on campus, or in other approved instructional modalities, including traditional 15-week semester courses and 8-week Competency-Based Education (CBE) formats.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a master's degree for undergraduate programs and a doctorate or equivalent for graduate programs.
• Preferred qualifications include college-level teaching experience, online teaching experience, and competency-based education experience.

Responsibilities

• Instructors of Record or course developers for undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Deliver instruction online, on campus, or in approved modalities.
• Schedule courses flexibly based on department needs and delivery formats.
• Compensation determined by the PATFA collective bargaining agreement.
