Job summary

Computer Aid is seeking a Server Administrator to lead AD, GPO, and Windows Server lifecycle tasks in a remote-friendly, full-time role. The candidate will develop automation, implement CIS baselines, and manage enterprise-scale deployments, while documenting changes and using Azure DevOps for work tracking.

The role emphasizes building scripts, analyzing security baselines, and collaborating with the Server Operations Team to ensure smooth operations across endpoints and servers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Active Directory domain services, replication, delegation, permissions, and DC troubleshooting.
• 5+ years of experience with Group Policy design, scoping, filtering, troubleshooting, and change control in large environments.
• 5+ years of experience with PowerShell: modules, error handling, remote execution, scheduled/unattended scripts, and AD/GPO automation.
• 3+ years of experience implementing CIS benchmarks on Windows endpoints via GPO and scripting.
• 5+ years of experience in Windows Server administration and lifecycle management, including build, patching, upgrading, and decommissioning.
• Experience documenting work in real-time, SOPs, runbooks, and change records.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps boards and formal service requests/change control processes.

Responsibilities

• Execute AD, Group Policy, and permissions work backlog with GPO creation, modification, testing, and retirement.
• Implement CIS baselines through GPO and scripted remediation based on guidance from the Senior Server Administrator.
• Design and maintain PowerShell scripts for administration, automation, auditing, remediation, and reporting.
• Identify repetitive tasks and develop automation to replace manual procedures with tested scripts.
• Manage Windows Server lifecycle at enterprise scale: build, configuration, patching, upgrading, and decommissioning.
• Log, update, and track all work items in Azure DevOps and process requests through change control.
• Store all work products and documentation in Azure DevOps, including scripts and runbooks.
• Cross-train with Senior Server Administrator to distribute AD/GPO and CIS knowledge.
