Job summary

Banner Life Insurance Company is seeking an experienced actuarial professional to support valuation processes, data pipelines, and reporting across Banner, William Penn, and related entities. The role emphasizes cloud-based automation, data transformation, and cross-functional collaboration to improve valuation procedures.

You will work with stakeholders across modeling, finance, audit, and IT to implement efficient, compliant solutions that drive monthly and year-end reporting.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Actuarial Science, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of actuarial experience, life insurance and/or valuation preferred.
• Experience with data and technology space, SQL/NoSQL, Python/R/Spark, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Valuation Process Maintenance: maintain cloud-based valuation processes using Azure and Databricks; data transformation to support monthly valuation.
• Research & Implementation: advise on projects affecting valuation systems, regulations, and tech updates; collaborate with modeling, finance, audit, and IT teams.
• Valuation Process & Reporting: produce monthly reserves per statutory and tax accounting; assist in schedules for quarterly/annual statements; support reinsurance reporting.
• Other Duties: promote culture; comply with development requirements; support additional projects as needed.
