Placements24 is seeking a Remote Actuarial Analyst to support pricing, reserving, and financial modeling for life insurance products. You will work with senior actuaries and cross-functional teams to develop sound strategies, ensuring solvency and profitability in a fully remote setting.

The role requires 2–4 years of life actuarial experience and proficiency in Prophet/AXIS, SQL, R, and Python. Strong communication and independent work capabilities are essential for success in a remote

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Progress toward or attainment of actuarial designations (e.g., FSA, ASA).
• 2–4 years of life actuarial experience.
• Proficiency in actuarial modeling software (Prophet, AXIS) and programming languages (SQL, R, Python).
• Strong analytical, communication, and remote-work skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, pricing, and valuation of life insurance products.
• Compute policy reserves and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct experience analyses (mortality, morbidity, lapse) to inform pricing/reserving assumptions.
• Develop and maintain actuarial models using Prophet, AXIS, and programming languages.
• Prepare actuarial reports and presentations for management and regulators.
• Collaborate with product, finance, and IT to support business objectives.
• Monitor financial performance of the life portfolio.
• Stay updated on actuarial methods, trends, and regulations.
• Support automation and process improvements in actuarial work.
• Pursue professional actuarial designations while on the job.
