Job summary

Milliman's New York Property and Casualty practice (NYPC) seeks an Actuarial Analyst to perform data preparation, modeling, and reporting for client work. You will handle complex spreadsheets and databases, using R and SQL, and contribute to pricing-related analyses.

Ideal candidates have 1–4 years’ actuarial experience, strong Excel skills, and progress on actuarial exams, with a commitment to CAS exam progression and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, data science, statistics, or other quantitative major.
• Two actuarial exams passed (at time of application).
• 1–4 years of actuarial experience, ideally including pricing, with data work and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review data for analysis and prepare reports for client work.
• Check data for errors and consistency and maintain documentation.
• Develop and use actuarial models and present findings to peers and managers.
• Draft written reports and exhibits, and prepare internal/external correspondence.
• Check work for accuracy and undertake research projects.
• Support project managers and client relationship managers as needed.
