Job summary

WAHVE is seeking experienced actuaries to support insurance carrier clients in a fully remote, long-term capacity. Roles emphasize leveraging actuarial expertise in pricing, rate filings, and predictive modeling while allowing participants to work from home with flexible full- or part-time schedules.

Ideal candidates possess extensive P&C actuarial experience, strong data skills (SQL, SAS, Python), and may hold ACAS/FCAS; reinsurance pricing expertise is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 25 years of full-time work experience required.
• 10 most current years of actuarial experience with commercial lines pricing in the Property & Casualty sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, statistics, or related major.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pricing studies to evaluate profitability and perform competitor analysis.
• Lead state and product rate reviews and filings by interpreting bureau rate changes.
• Collaborate with underwriting, product management, sales, and finance to revise and expand product offerings.
• Assist in assessment of experience, reserve adequacy, and forward-looking drivers to develop reserve assumptions.
• Develop rating methodologies for existing and new products.
• Extract and manipulate data in relational databases using SAS, VBA, SQL, R or Python.
